Sample breakdown, assuming 4MB songs, 2MB pictures, and 700MB movies, and 10GB HD video clips:
250,000 songs +
500,000 pictures +
1,400 movies +
100 HD video clips +
But with the advent of affordable HD video cameras, 1TB may not be enough.
A typical HD video camera takes 64GB to store 4 hours of HD video. Attend 10 events and all of a sudden you have 640GB of video.
Granted most people are not taking 4 hour videos wherever they go, this is changing fast.
Petabytes prepare to become famous.
