If you are trying to install Kaspersky and during the compatability check it prompts you to uninstall LiveUpdate even though LiveUpdate has been uninstalled, it may be a registry entry that is stopping the installation.

Fortunately a google search found provided me with this link and it has solved this problem for several of my clients.

If you the resolution of your monitor changes to VGA(640×480) during Windows startup, it may be a problem with Seagate Dashboard.

I found this after going through the painful process of disabling startup programs to find which was the cause, as by disabling all made the symptom disappear.

Re-installing the application fixed the problem. Seagate Dashboard works, and no more VGA resolution during startup.

If anyone else has experienced this, try this fix and report if it worked for you.

After removing a virus, you may find that double clicking any program will result in an open-with dialog box.

This can be easy fixed by running the following registry files.

I have been playing around with my droid 2 since the update from Froyo to Gingerbread came out. Many features are now working properly, like exchange emails and imap emails do not show twice and do not trigger an endless loop of notification sounds, but the most noticeable change is the longevity of battery charge.

I have an exchange account and 3 imap accounts, and a gmail account. With Froyo, enabling push emails made the battery run out in 3 hours.  I had to keep my phone charging at my desk and in my car.

After upgrading to Gingerbread, I have gone 12hrs without charging. I only charge my phone during the night, and during the day I do not worry about charging it.

Download Trinity Rescue Disk version 3.4

Burn it or place it in a flash drive

At boot select “Run Trinity Rescue 3.4 …”

Select “Windows Password Resetting”

Select “Clear administrator password” and follow the instructions

Reboot and press F8 to go into get the Windows boot options screen

Select “Last Known Good Configuration” (This step is important, otherwise you get a blue screen)

Received the new Market update and I am now able to download Netflix on my Droid2 Froyo Verizon 2.3.20.A955.Verizon.en.US

I am able to look through my instant queue and have watched Futurama, National Geographic documentaries, and Blade 2. I assume all the other movies are playable.

Interestly, I did not have to add/activate a device to my netflix account. I was one of the few for which Netlfix was not available since its May 13 release. Now I can vouche it is working. I believe some of you with Droid 2 Global and Droid X had similar dificulties, hope this update works for you too.
